Back to Back Books!

October 10th, 2007

Paul at the 2007 Baltimore Book FestivalI guess you could say that last week had bookends. It started on Sunday with the Baltimore Book Festival, and ended on Saturday with the Collingswood Book Festival, and in between was a lot of work! And the best part was that by the end I had a lot fewer books, a lot more friends, and one more person in the car than we started with!

How did I manage that, you ask? Well, read on…

A Quiet Ending . . . and an Exciting Beginning!

August 16th, 2007

Way back in November of last year, I wrote about the journey of the airship “Spirit of Dubai” from England to the United Arab Emirates. As the ship crossed Europe, the official website chronicled its progress using Google Earth and the Captain’s Log reported in almost daily. Then, in late January, as the ship reached Crete — silence. Baltimore Authors Showcase!

July 31st, 2007

I’ll be appearing at the Maryland Writers’ Association’s premiere Baltimore Authors Showcase as one of six featured authors on Saturday, August 18 at 1:30! The event will be at the historic Canton library in southeast Baltimore. If you’re in the neighborhood, please stop by!

The showcase features six local fiction authors who are MWA members, and whose work has been published in books or periodicals. Future showcases promise to feature published poets, memoirists, and writers in other popular genres.
You can find more details about the showcase here. The event is co-sponsored by the Baltimore Chapter of the MWA, of which I have the privilege to be president. But I promise I didn’t pull any strings to appear at this event! :-D

Baltimore Book Festival!

June 12th, 2007

BBF LogoI’m very excited to be able to report that I’ve been accepted to appear in the Author’s Tent at this year’s Baltimore Book Festival! This year’s event will be from Friday through Sunday, September 28-30, in Mount Vernon Square, in the heart of Baltimore’s historic Mount Vernon district.

I’ll be in the Author’s Tent on Sunday, but I’ll probably be around on Saturday too, most likely at the Maryland Writers’ Association tent.

So remember to save the weekend, and come on out and say hi! As the event draws nearer, I’ll have more details here and on the Appearances page.
