How to Subscribe

You can subscribe to Writing Through Clouds and automatically receive a notice when new blog entries are posted. Subscribing means you don’t have to remember to check in with the site regularly.

To subscribe, you will need to install an RSS aggregator program (also called a feed reader) on your computer. If you don’t already have one installed, try these lists of popular feed readers:

Once you select a feed reader that works on your computer, install it according to the instructions provided with the reader.

Your browser may already have a built-in feed reader. Some browsers come with feed readers or offer them as plug-in modules that you can install yourself. Read your user documentation or look at your Preferences panel to see if your browser has a reader.

Either way, once you have a feed reader, you are ready to subscribe to Writing Through Clouds! There are two ways to subscribe, depending on whether your reader is part of your browser or a separate program.

If your feed reader is separate from your browser: Go back to the blog main page. At the bottom of the page, click on “Entries (RSS).” This will launch the feed reader; follow the reader’s prompts to select the subscription options that you want.

If your feed reader is part of your browser: When you go to the main page you will see an icon on the right-hand side of the address window at the top of your browser (the icon may say “RSS” or indicate a “Live Bookmark”). Click on that icon to activate the reader and select the subscription options you want.

Whatever method you use, once you subscribe you’ll be notified whenever Writing Through Clouds is updated and you will be able to click directly to the newly posted information.
