I’m a Speaker at the MWA Annual Conference!

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

At first, I was just planning on attending the conference and selling Seeing Through Clouds in the dealer’s room, like I did last year. But at the inaugural meeting of the Baltimore chapter of the Maryland Writer’s Association, conference coordinator Cathy Wiley asked me if I would be willing to present at the session titled “How to Write for Young Adults!”

When I registered for the conference, a speaker hadn’t been selected yet, but I signed up to take the session anyway because I figured I could learn something no matter who ended up presenting at it. Now instead of sitting in the audience, I’ll be in front of it!

If you’re planning to come to the conference, I hope you’ll consider attending the session. It will be at 2:00. You can read more about the conference on the Appearances page.
I feel a little bit like Erich did before he gave his report to the class in Chapter 1. Now I just need to remember the public speaking advice that Erich’s mom gave to him! :-D
