Back to Back Books!

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

Paul at the 2007 Baltimore Book FestivalI guess you could say that last week had bookends. It started on Sunday with the Baltimore Book Festival, and ended on Saturday with the Collingswood Book Festival, and in between was a lot of work! And the best part was that by the end I had a lot fewer books, a lot more friends, and one more person in the car than we started with!

How did I manage that, you ask? Well, read on…

Fun, Books, and Coffee!

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006

These days, just like in Erich’s time, coffee houses were places for people to meet, talk, and share stories over java and pastries. And so it was at my first solo book signing at High Grounds Espresso and Books, Highlandtown’s favorite coffee and book bar!

Thanks for the Merry Christmas Wishes, Cambridge Kids!

Sunday, December 17th, 2006

by HudsonWow! A neat surprise arrived in the mail late last week — a whole big envelope jam-packed with letters and cards of thanks and Merry Christmas wishes from the students of the Cambridge School! It was so much fun opening up the envelope and watching everything tumble out in a burst of primary-color goodness!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! You made my MONTH!

by BlairMany of your notes included drawings — some large, some small, but all of them treasures. I hope you don’t mind my showing them off here, so that your friends at school, and all my friends everywhere, can see what nice jobs you did! (You can mouse over the drawings to see the names of the artists.)

Some of you asked questions, too, which I’m going to answer here. So read on…

Don’t Forget — Book Signing on Saturday!

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006

Just a reminder that I’ll be at High Grounds Espresso and Books this Saturday for my first solo book signing from 2-4 pm!

Please stop by and say hi, I’d love to meet you! Bring a copy for me to sign, or buy a copy there — and while you’re at it, buy some for your friends; they make great gifts for the other readers in your life!

Book Signing Featured in Baltimore Guide!

Sunday, December 10th, 2006

Last week’s Holiday Shopper’s Guide edition of the Baltimore Guide (“Baltimore’s Neighborhood Newspaper Since 1927″) included a neat article about local author Tim Almaguer, whose excellent new book is Baltimore’s Patterson Park, and it talked about Seeing Through Clouds too! The article is not up on the Guide’s website, but print copies are available all around Baltimore — grab one while you can and check out all the great gift ideas included in the issue!

Mary Jo and I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Almaguer at High Grounds Books yesterday, and he signed our copy. That’s where I’ll be having my book signing at next Saturday! Please come by and support the neighborhood’s friendliest bookstore and coffee house, and while you’re there, I’ll be happy to sign your book too.
